Arya Codes

Technology doesn't have to wear us out.

Why do screens leave us more tired than ever, and what principles guide how we build products at Arya Codes to reverse that cycle?

The story of Arya Codes began with a simple question: with technology this powerful, why do people feel more tired, more scattered and more alone than ever?

You don’t need to be an expert to ask it. Have you ever picked up your phone “just to check something” and put it down twenty minutes later without remembering what you looked at? A thought, a conversation or a night’s sleep cut short by a notification? None of this is an accident. Most screens were designed to hold our attention for as long as possible.

Design that steals attention

Infinite feeds, “we miss you” notifications, red badges, the next video starting on its own… They all serve the same metric: time on screen. When a product’s success is measured by how much time its users spend in it, design inevitably drifts towards keeping people hooked.

Technology promised to make life easier. Too often, it made life itself harder.

A company going the other way

Arya Codes was born from the wish to reverse that cycle. The Arya in our name means “noble, honourable”; codes is our craft. Together they say one thing: technology worthy of people.

To keep that from staying a slogan, we weigh every decision against six principles:

  1. We send value, not notifications. We ask for your attention only when it’s truly worth it.
  2. We measure quality of life, not screen time. Our goal is for you to feel better when you close the app.
  3. Your data is yours. We don’t sell it, we don’t hide it, and we never ask for more than we need.
  4. We take on the complexity. The hard work behind the scenes is our job; what’s left for you is simplicity.
  5. We design for everyone. Accessibility is not a feature, it’s the starting point.
  6. We listen, then we code. Every product starts with the real needs of real people.

When principles leave the page

A principle shows its worth at the moment it would be easy to drop. Adding ads, sending a notification a little more often, or collecting a bit more data “in case we need it later” is always tempting. These decisions look small, but they shape a product’s character.

Our first two products are what these principles look like in two different fields. Sükunet serves spiritual life; it is ad-free and respects your privacy. BioFİT serves sport and health; it analyses your movement directly on your phone, without depending on a cloud connection. Two very different fields, one signature: respect for privacy, simplicity and people first.

How we measure success

We want to measure our success not by downloads, but by real change in the lives we touch. That is harder to measure. But asking the right question matters more than finding the easy answer.

The best technology goes unnoticed. It does its job, then gets out of your way.

On this blog we’ll share what we make, why we make it the way we do, and what we learn along the way. If you have a question or an idea, write to us. We listen, then we code.
